   Day 1: Transfer from Lago Agrio – Entrance to the Cuyabeno Reserve

   Your Amazon adventure begins early in the morning in Lago Agrio. Travel by land to the Cuyabeno River bridge, the gateway to one of the world's most biodiverse regions. From there, board a motorized canoe and cruise into the heart of the rainforest. Along the way, the guide will make stops to search for colorful birds, playful monkeys, and, with a bit of luck, the famous pink river dolphins. As you navigate deeper into the reserve, your naturalist guide will share fascinating insights into the unique wildlife and ecosystems of the Ecuadorian Amazon.

   Day 1: Arrival at Piranha EcoLodge & Welcome Lunch

   Upon arrival at Piranha EcoLodge, you'll receive a warm welcome in the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon. After check-in, enjoy a delicious lunch prepared with fresh local ingredients while surrounded by the peaceful rainforest. Following lunch, you'll have free time to relax and enjoy the lodge's facilities before setting out on an exciting canoe excursion, where you'll have the opportunity to swim in the lagoon (weather permitting) and observe the fascinating nocturnal wildlife as the Amazon comes alive after sunset.    Day 2: Guided Rainforest Nature Walk

   After breakfast you will step into the heart of the rainforest with an expert naturalist guide and discover the extraordinary biodiversity of the Amazon. Learn about towering trees, medicinal plants, colorful insects, exotic birds, and fascinating wildlife while exploring one of the most pristine tropical forests in the world. Every trail offers new discoveries and incredible opportunities for nature photography.

   Day 2: Sunset Canoe Excursion

   After lunch you will experience the afternoon light fades, enjoy a peaceful canoe ride through rivers and lagoons surrounded by breathtaking rainforest scenery. Sunset is one of the best times to spot monkeys, sloths, caimans, colorful birds, and, if you're lucky, the legendary pink river dolphins. The golden reflections on the water create a magical atmosphere you'll never forget.

   Day 2: Night Rainforest Exploration

   When darkness falls, the rainforest comes alive with a completely different world of wildlife. Equipped with flashlights, venture into the jungle or navigate the waterways to observe frogs, insects, spiders, reptiles, and other nocturnal creatures while listening to the captivating sounds of the Amazon. This thrilling experience offers a unique perspective on the rainforest after sunset. Then you will end with a well perpared dinner.

   Day 3: Visit to an Indigenous Community

   After breakfast, you'll spend a full day with the Sonia Indigenous Community, located within the protected Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve. Experience their rich cultural heritage and gain insight into their traditional way of life. Learn about their customs, ancestral knowledge, handicrafts, hunting and fishing techniques, sustainable practices, and the traditional use of medicinal plants. This authentic cultural experience offers a deeper appreciation of the strong connection the community has maintained with the Amazon rainforest for generations.    Day 4: Return to Lago Agrio

   After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to the Amazon as you begin your return journey by canoe to the Cuyabeno River bridge. As you cruise through the peaceful waterways one last time, you'll have another opportunity to spot the incredible wildlife that makes this reserve so special.
