Itinerary

1. 1
   Day 1 | Journey into the Amazon

   Board a motorized canoe and travel along the impressive Napo River, one of the Amazon's largest tributaries. Upon reaching the entrance to the reserve, continue by paddle canoe across the peaceful waters of Añangu Lake, surrounded by untouched rainforest and abundant wildlife. Arrive at Napo Wildlife Center, enjoy a welcome drink, settle into your room, and receive an introduction to the exciting days ahead. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy your first wildlife observation activity before dinner.

   Day 2 | Parrot Clay Licks & Primary RainforestAM

   Wake up early for one of the Amazon's most spectacular natural events—a visit to the famous parrot and macaw clay licks, where dozens or even hundreds of colorful parrots gather to feed on mineral-rich clay.

   After breakfast, venture into the primary rainforest with your naturalist guide to discover giant trees, medicinal plants, insects, monkeys, and countless bird species while learning about the incredible biodiversity of Yasuní National Park. Return to the lodge for lunch and enjoy free time before another afternoon wildlife excursion.

   Day 3 | Canopy Tower & Amazon WildlifeAM

   Begin the day with an excursion to the impressive canopy observation tower, rising above the rainforest and offering breathtaking panoramic views across the Amazon. From the tower, look for toucans, macaws, hawks, tanagers, and many other birds flying above the treetops.

   Later, continue exploring the surrounding trails and waterways in search of giant otters, monkeys, sloths, reptiles, and other fascinating wildlife. After dinner, embark on an exciting night excursion, when the rainforest comes alive with frogs, insects, nocturnal birds, and caimans.

   Day 4 | Kichwa Culture & Canoe ExplorationAM

   After breakfast, visit the Kuri Muyu Interpretation Center, where members of the Añangu Kichwa Community share their traditions, ancestral knowledge, handicrafts, music, and sustainable way of life.

   In the afternoon, explore the calm waters surrounding the lodge by canoe, offering excellent opportunities to observe giant otters, hoatzins, kingfishers, monkeys, and other wildlife in complete tranquility. Enjoy your final evening immersed in the sounds of the Amazon rainforest.

   Day 5 | Return to Coca

   Enjoy an early breakfast before beginning your return journey across Añangu Lake and along the Napo River back to Coca. Upon arrival, transfer to the airport for your onward flight, taking with you unforgettable memories of one of the most biodiverse places on Earth.
